It is used for everyday work that requires a large blade, skinning game, working with wood and hides. The blade has a distinctive asymmetrical grind known from Yakutian blades.<br \/>\nMy interpretation of this tool was created with a 50HF spring steel blade, forged by hand and traditionally heat treated The Yakutian grind is right-handed, the blade is flat, with a carved hollow on the right side and has a convex on the left.
