This means that the knife does not have a mechanical blade lock and is locked in the open position by holding the handle together with the blade shank, which overlaps the skeleton.<br \/>\nThis type of folding knife was known in Europe as far back as 500 B.C., and spread through the Roman Empire.<\/p>\n<p>My folders are a contemporary interpretation of this design.<\/p>\n<p>The frame of the knife was created from forged grade 5 titanium. The blade is made of N690 stainless steel. The blade rotates on phosphor bronze washers and a stainless steel axle.
